Dunans Educational Portal
history
Dunans castle is a significant example of Scots Baronial architecture and was seat of the Clan Fletcher for 250 years. Since a catastrophic fire in 2001, the "castle" portion of Dunans has become a ruin and deterioration is now at a critical point.
revitalization
Dunans castle is Category B Listed, making assistance from teams of volunteer trainees the key to its revitalization. The site is accessed by the Category A Listed bridge, on which conservation work recently began.
