Adventures in Preservation (AiP) is a non-profit organization offering volunteer and experiential travel opportunities through hands-on building conservation projects, which are held at a variety of locations. Our projects promote traditional building techniques as a sustainable practice; create an atmosphere of international understanding; and use historic preservation as a powerful tool for change.
Our mission is connecting people and preservation through enriching experiential programs that safeguard heritage and foster community sustainability. We are guided by our vision of a world where people use, understand, and appreciate historic buildings that are vital to economic and environmental sustainability and preserve cultural identity.
Internships are volunteer positions, but may lead to opportunities to participate in AiP projects at a discounted rate. Our interns are not required to reside in the same vicinity as our office (unless otherwise noted on the job announcement), as much of the work can be done remotely, i.e. online and via the phone.
Those interested in applying for an internship should submit their CV or resume either by e-mail or regular mail. If sending an email, please indicate the internship title in the subject line of email. Email letter of interest and resume to info@adventuresinpreservation.org; or mail to Adventures in Preservation, 1557 North Street, Boulder, CO 80304 USA.
